Privacy
QA Game is an ephemeral icebreaker game. No account. Games expire after 6 hours. Your question drafts live in your browser's localStorage. Telemetry goes to Lotl Observe.
There are no user accounts. Hosts create games with a 4-character code; players join by name. The whole game is wiped 6 hours after creation. Personal question drafts are stored in your browser's localStorage only.
What we collect
We collect and store the following:
- Game state (ephemeral): Each game holds: a 4-char code, the host's display name, players' display names, the question being asked, the current turn order, and any trigger warnings selected. Everything is wiped 6 hours after the game is created.
- Personal question drafts (browser only): Personal question drafts you save are stored in your browser's localStorage only. Nothing is sent to the server; clearing your browser data resets your drafts.
- Usage telemetry: Page views, game-creation events, join events, and crash reports sent to Lotl Observe. Does not include game content (question text, player names, etc.).
Third parties
These external services receive some of your data:
- DigitalOcean — server hosting for the QA Game service
Your rights
